The scene inspired by “Conversation in a park” by Gainsborough

It is one of the first works of Gainsborough, built around 1745 and kept at the Louvre in Paris. The scene, typical of eighteenth-century art, sees two elegantly dressed young people conversing in a park. The boy gesticulates trying to get the girl’s attention, who looks on the other side and does not seem to listen to him. A frivolous and light scene, very fashionable at the time in the salons of the European aristocracy.
