On October 10th, a chapel dedicated to Blessed Pope John XXIII was inaugurated in the church of Traversara. For the occasion, a ceramic painting made by Laura Silvagni was uncovered.
It is a hand painted portrait of the Pope on majolica, fired at high temperature. The tile measures 40x40cm, and represents the Pope smiling to the faithful. A valuable frame completes the work of art.
In our area, it is surely one of the first places of worship dedicated to Pope John XXIII, who was beatified by Pope John Paul II.
