Our Lady of Graces
The Blessed Virgin of Graces is the main patron of the diocese of Faenza-Modigliana: it is remembered on Saturday before the second Sunday of May.
The image is revered in a chapel of the Cathedral, where it is represented by a 16th century fresco that portrays it in the act of breaking the arrows, symbol of the evils and scourges from which the Virgin offers protection.
Our Lady of Graces is represented in full figure, standing on the clouds, with the head covered by the hood (but in some versions it is bareheaded).
